Origins

Toto's early history that began in 1917, mirrored Japan's rapid economic growth. In the first half of its existence, the company manufactured products to meet the demand for modern, contemporary urban housing. To do this, it used the country's first tunnel kiln that produced ceramics in a continuous flow. It also pioneered the use of automation for production control, allowing greater efficiency and a more consistent production.

The company began expanding overseas in the latter part of the 1980s to benefit from new markets and sales opportunities. It established the Cera Trading Company, importing and marketing other products from other manufacturers to complement its own line of plumbing fittings and sanitary earthenware. This strategy boosted sales and increased the firm's market share.

In the 1990s, Toto began to concentrate on research and development for water-related appliances. It also improved its distribution system to better serve the needs of customers and to increase profits. The company implemented a just-in-time approach to managing its supply chain and used the same approach for its sales process. This resulted in a greater level of satisfaction of customers.

After Toto IV, the band's fortunes started to plummet.  토토사이트 순위  left to concentrate on his solo career, and the band had to go through various drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball was fired from the band in wake of drug charges and the group continued to perform as a trio featuring Michael Porcaro and Steve Lukather.
